TOUGH MUDDER CHALLENGE

 

Daniel Chambers, Head of Trading, Sequoia Capital Fund Management LLP and a key member to K&KGC’s buy side trading community, takes on his third Tough Mudder challenge to raise money for a charity close to his heart

Daniel tells us why he’s chosen to do this with the aim of raising as much money as possible for this cause.

​

“In July this year, I’ll be taking part in my third Tough Mudder and raising money for Peter McVerry Trust. Peter McVerry Trust are a charity responding to the needs of people affected by homelessness. The charity provides services that tackle homelessness, drug misuse and social disadvantage.

​

Helping the homeless is something I feel is very important and often neglected. We take for granted the roofs over our heads and the beds we sleep on each night. We can easily forget that some don’t have warmth during winter, food to eat or even somewhere to conduct basic everyday hygienic practices.

I’ll be following up this Tough Mudder with help on the streets of Dubiln, Ireland in an attempt to contribute directly to the efforts to make their lives better.

Tough Mudder is an obstacle course around 10 miles long testing physical and mental strength. Obstacles  along the way include ice water, electroshock therapy, climbing and monkey bars. It isn’t quite elite level, but it’s a tough few hours of running and getting very muddy.

I hope we can make a real difference to the people for whom this money is being raised.”
